Regional Workshop on FAO Pesticide Registration Toolkit, 1-5 June, 2015 in Hanoi, Viet Nam

<p>The FAO Pesticide Registration Toolkit is a decision support system for pesticide registrars in developing countries. It was created to assist registrars in the evaluation and authorization of pesticides. The toolkit will give guidance on which evaluations need to be done, how they can be done in the most straightforward way and still produce meaningful results, and where relevant information can be found that can be used to carry out the evaluation. The tools that can help regulators to do their work more effectively. In order to test and collect feedback on improvement, a pilot workshop on the pesticide toolkit will beorganized &nbsp;from 1-5 June, 2015 in Hanoi, Vietnam with support from AGP pesticide team in collaboration with Vietnam Plant Protection Department.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Pre-CPM Consultation for APPPC members is included in the work plan adopted at the 28th Session of the Asia and Pacific Plant Protection Commission. The consultation will provide APPPC member with an opportunity for discussion of CPM agenda items more specifically, including the draft ISPMs which will be presented for adoption by the CPM. This meeting facilitates a better understanding of the specific concerns of participants and allows the development regional views on some issues.</p>
